Fast Essay Grading for Writing Teachers

Is there anything more stressful than a pile of ungraded essays on your teacher desk? I remember I used to DREAD grading essays. I would put it off as long as I could until I finally just had to buckle down and bite the bullet. And then? Hours or even days of my life would be spent grading essays as my brain turned to mush. Yuck.

And did my students pay attention to the feedback I spent hours giving them? No, they did not. Sure, a few students cared enough to pour over every word I wrote, but most of them just checked their grade and threw their essay in the trash.

I decided there had to be a better way.

I wanted a faster way to grade my students’ essays without sacrificing the valuable feedback I was giving them, and I wanted to deliver that feedback in a way that my students could easily digest and implement.

Finally, I figured out a way to grade my students’ essays in 30 seconds a day.

If you’re ready to do the same, check out this recording from my live masterclass, “30-second Essay Grading.”

I hope this method helps you win back the time and sanity you deserve!

P.S. For a written version of this grading technique, check out my blog post, “How to Grade an Essay Before It’s Even Written.”
